HERE and NOW: OK, I'm a JUNKIE....

Hi, My name is Amy Dyanne Cooper and I seem to be an online e-course junkie. I want to learn and try new styles of art in the pursuit of finding/creating my very own signature style. I can't seem to get enough. I want to explore every medium out there, watercolor, color pencil, paint, plaster, encaustic, oils, mixed media, crochet, knitting, embroidery, collage, mosaics etc......

Basically, you name it, I want to try it! End of subject.

It started in February of 2012 when I routinely fumbled my way through the blog-land to see what other people were doing. I was not depressed per say, but I was looking for direction in a creative outlet kinda sorta way.

I stumbled upon Jeanne Oliver. She had a quote on her blog that caught my attention. Funny, I can't remember the quote anymore, but I sure remember Jeanne. I explored her blog and was led to her ning site. This is where I decided to sign up for her e-course, something I had never considered before.

I was nervous at spending money without really knowing what I was purchasing, but on faith, I signed up, and have not been disappointed. I felt as though she was speaking directly to me. I explored new art styles and found the permission I needed to create. Not for anyone else, but for myself.

My drawing/painting skills were VERY limited. But I practiced, I tried, I set goals, like, draw a face that actually looks like a face. (doesn't seem hard, but for me it was a huge challenge).

Then I took more classes, from Jeanne and other artists (there are so many) I have encountered through her, both directly and indirectly.

Sometimes I just can't get things, ideas out of my head until I sit and create. This clears my mind and gives me renewed energy to focus and accomplish my daily routine jobs.
